Event Recap: The 40th Annual Oyster Roast & Employee Appreciation Event

The 40th Annual Oyster Roast & Customer Appreciation Event was a huge success! Guests enjoyed great food, company, and atmosphere—all while supporting a worthy cause. Highlights included steamed/fried oysters, Mission BBQ, award ceremonies, giveaways, a lively DJ, and our biggest raffle yet! McClung-Logan honored Frank McCarty, founder of White Oak Equipment and originator of the Oyster Roast, which began in 1985 to support Jim Dawson, a White Oak employee battling bone cancer. Thanks to Frank’s generosity, it has become a beloved tradition in Fredericksburg, VA, uniting the community for those in need.

This year’s beneficiary is Nikolas “Niko” Curtis, who is fighting Ewings Sarcoma. Nearly $70,000 has been raised so far, with donations still welcome. Learn more and contribute here. Thanks to all who donated! 

During the event, Takeuchi US President Jeff Stewart presented McClung-Logan with the 2024 Takeuchi Dealer 360° Award, recognizing outstanding dealer performance. We’re grateful to Takeuchi and our amazing customers for this honor. Read more about this award here.

Since acquiring White Oak in 2019, McClung-Logan is proud to continue the Oyster Roast tradition. Thank you to the customers who attended and the volunteers, sponsors, staff, and vendors who made it happen. Here’s to an even better event in 2026!
